Construction Starts Fall 2006

This country house will start construction in fall or winter 2006/2007. Designed to be nestled in a wooded site, the home will capture southwest breezes coming off of a field. The main living space will have a camp like feeling with stained concrete floors and a raised ceiling. The screened porch faces west, and captures the view of the setting sun through the woods. A reflective standing seam metal roof and generous overhang and porches help keep the house cool. The limestone exterior is material quarried from nearby Austin. It's a classic Texas country house, designed with simplicity and ease of construction in mind.
