Kathleen Carrier

Education

Kathleen has an undergraduate degree in Interior Design from Cornell University (1988) and a Masters in Architecture from the University of Houston (1994). At U of H she graduated Valedictorian, and also won the graduate design award. In 1997 she completed a one week class in Solar Design given by SEI, Solar Energy International.

Work experience

After her completing her undergraduate degree she worked at two firms in Philadelphia, gaining experience in office and facilities work. Through out graduate school in Houston and continuing afterwards she worked for Pearson English Architects. There she managed the design, documentation and construction administration for several NationsBank branch banks.

In 1996 Kathleen joined Curry Boudreaux Architects. At Curry Boudreaux she worked on several hospital projects as well as creating the interior design for » Camp for All, a special needs children's camp near Brenham. The camp brought together aspects of institutional and residential design.

In 2003 Kathleen established Evergreen Design Studio, focusing on residential work. She continues to handle all her projects with the same level of professionalism and attention to detail required by commercial work. Residential projects with special or unusual requirements are her specialty.

Family and hobbies

Kathleen has two children, Amelia (eight years old) and Cooper (three years old). In her spare time she enjoys gardening and takes art classes at Glassell.
