Freelance Design Assistant / Production Designer 

We’re looking for a reliable & communicative designer to support our boutique design studio on an overflow, as-needed basis.

Type: Contract

Location: Fully remote, anywhere worldwide with reliable high-speed internet

The Role

This is a white-label contract role focused on behind-the-scenes, collaborative support rather than creative direction. You’ll need the skills to work within an established brand and create thoughtful, on-brand designs.

You’ll need solid Adobe skills (mostly Illustrator, Indesign, Photoshop) and the C-word as we do a lot of customizable templates for clients.

Our core work consists of branding, logo design, custom illustrations, publications, printed marketing materials, social graphics and reels, and custom designed websites. We are known for superior creativity in design and problem solving, plus meticulous attention to detail that persists through every project phase.

Required Skills & Tools

  • Strong design fundamentals: typography, layout, hierarchy, composition, balance, and color
  • Proficiency in Adobe Creative Suite, especially Illustrator, InDesign, and Photoshop
  • Comfortable using Canva for shared assets
  • Understanding of RGB/HEX and CMYK workflows, including profiles and proofs
  • Familiar with Slack, Google Docs/Sheets, and Microsoft Word/Excel
  • Strong communication, proactive follow-through, and the ability to meet deadlines
  • Comfortable working independently in a remote, async environment

Ideal Candidate

  • 0-5 years experience
  • Portfolio showing polished execution and production work
  • Organized, responsive, proactive, and able to manage their own workload
